The invention discloses a solar energy and air source heat pump linkage hot water system and a control method thereof. The system comprises a solar heat collector, an air source heat pump unit, a temperature preservation water tank connected with a system water-replenishing solenoid valve and a control system. The control method comprises the following procedures of: controlling a solar circulating water pump, controlling the system water-replenishing solenoid valve, controlling a circulating water pump of the air source heat pump unit and the air source heat pump system and controlling a user circulating water pump. With the solar energy and air source heat pump linkage hot water system and the control method thereof, the sufficient utilization of solar energy can be achieved, the operation of the air source heat pump unit is reduced as much as possible, the purpose of saving energy sources to maximum extent is achieved, and the demand of 24 h uninterrupted hot water for users is satisfied.
