The human eye center positioning method includes that firstly the human face is detected by using a bottom-up method, and then a local secondary moment image H of the human face is calculated; extreme value region, a non-extreme value region and an average value region of the H are calculated; then a top-down clustering algorithm is adopted to enable the non-extreme value region to be clustered to the extreme value region; two optimal human eye candidate regions are obtained according to simple human eye distribution knowledge; and finally gravity centers of the two candidate regions are calculated to serve as positions of human eye centers.
