Summary:The invention relates to a method for signaling broadcast video services and content (Ei) broadcast by a television operator to a multitude of receiving devices, the content being encoded in data packets transmitted in a transport stream associated with a signaling stream. The method includes a step of inserting a unique identifier (Mi) associated with each of the video or services content into the signaling stream; a step of inserting the unique identifier into packets of the transport stream transmitting the video service or content corresponding to the unique identifier. The unique identifier (Mi) is advantageously derived from a characteristic of the content taken from the title of the video service or content, or the theoretical streaming broadcast date and time of the video service or content. The invention further relates to a recording method and device using the signaling.
