The invention discloses an indicator light and an electric vehicle charging pile with the indictor light. A luminous body of the indicator light is arranged on one side of a transparent light cover in an inclining manner; a transmitting channel for enabling a light emitted from the luminous body to enter a side wall of the transparent cover, and to exit from the top end of the transparent cover is arranged between the top end and the bottom end of the transparent cover; the light of the luminous body is emitted to an outer space of a charging pipe shell through the transmitting channel; and the top part of the transparent light cover in the luminous body is exposed out of the outer surface of the charging pile shell, and a luminous end of the luminous body is lower than the top end of the transparent light cover, so that when the indictor light is used, even though the top end of the transparent light cover is damaged, the indicator light can be used for indicating normally only after workers replace the tran
