The air conditioner may include a compressor (10) that compresses a refrigerant, an outdoor heat-exchanger (30) that heat-exchanges with the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (10) according to a first operation mode, an indoor heat-exchanger (40) that heat-exchanges with the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (10) according to a second operation mode, and an expander (100) that decompresses the refrigerant passing through the outdoor heat-exchanger (30) or the indoor heat-exchanger (40). The expander (100) may include a first decompression portion (110) disposed at an outlet side or an inlet side of the outdoor heat-exchanger (30), the first decompression portion (110) having a first inner diameter, and a second decompression portion (150) connected to the first decompression portion (110) in series, the second decompression portion (150) having a second inner diameter greater than the first inner diameter.
