Summary:A forceps (10) includes an end effector assembly (100) having first (110) and second (120) jaw members. One or both jaw members (110,120) is movable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position for grasping tissue therebetween. One or both jaw members (110,120) includes an insulator (126) having at least one engagement knob (126c) extending therefrom and a tissue-sealing plate (112,122) including at least one engagement aperture (122b) extending therethrough and defining a tissue-sealing surface.
