The invention relates to a fuel oil monitoring method and a fuel oil monitoring system for movable internal combustion equipment. In order to overcome the defect that a user cannot discover that fuel oil is stolen or abnormally reduced in the halt state of the conventional internal combustion equipment in time, the invention provides the fuel oil monitoring method for the internal combustion equipment. By the method, the abnormal changes of an equipment state and a fuel oil liquid level are detected, and if the fuel oil changes abnormally when the equipment is halted, information is transmitted to the user of the equipment by a wireless communication device to warn the user of the abnormal change of the fuel oil liquid level, so that the user can handle problems in time. The monitoring system comprises a liquid level detecting device, an equipment state detecting device, a control module, a wireless communication device and a monitoring terminal device, wherein the control module transmits related information
