The invention discloses a front frame for a liquid crystal display device. The front frame comprises a side board which forms a rectangle after being surrounded, and an extending part which extends from the edge of the side board to the inner side of the side board in a bent manner. The side board is provided with arc chamfers relative to four corners of the rectangle. The invention further discloses the liquid crystal display device. According to the front frame and the liquid crystal display device provided by the invention, the four corners of the side board are configured to be the arc-shaped chamfers, so that the quantity of structure assemblies of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced, so that an edge narrowing design is realized, and the appearance quality is enabled not to be influenced.
