Summary:The invention discloses an environmentally-friendly method for catalytic synthesis of curcumin from alkaline ionic liquid. The method comprises the following steps of: protecting methylene of acetylacetone by boric anhydride; adding the alkaline ionic liquid to catalyze condensation reaction of acetylacetone and 4-hydroxyl-3-methoxy benzaldehyde; subsequently adding diluted acetic acid solution to dissolve a product obtained by the condensation reaction; and performing post-treatment. The method provided by the invention has the advantages of easiness in operation, superior reaction performance, easiness in separation of products, capability of repeatedly utilizing a catalyst, environmental friendliness and the like.
