Summary: | The invention relates to a subharmonic beam buncher for a high frequency accelerating structure. The subharmonic beam buncher comprises a standing wave resonant cavity body, a first reverse coil, a second revers coil, a first power supply and a second power supply, wherein the first reverse coil and the second revers coil are respectively sleeved at both ends of the standing wave resonant cavity body; and the first power supply and the second power supply are used for respectively supplying power to the first reverse coil and the second revers coil. According to the invention, two reverse coils which are independently supplied with power by different power supplies are wound at the outer edge of the standing wave resonant cavity body to counteract an external magnetic field so as to destroy the resonance condition of the secondary electron multiplication and fulfill the aim of inhibiting the secondary electron multiplication; and moreover, output voltages of the first and second power supplies are controlled |
