Summary:The invention discloses a dye sensitized solar cell and a preparation method thereof. The dye sensitized solar cell which is arranged in series and has a large area comprises an anode substrate and a cathode substrate which are oppositely arranged, wherein at least two cell units are formed between the anode substrate and the cathode substrate; photo anodes of the cell units are arranged on the anode substrate side; photo cathodes of the cell units are arranged on the cathode substrate side; an etching area for separating adjacent cell units is arranged between the adjacent cell units; for each batter unit, conducting grids are respectively arranged at the corresponding positions of the etching areas of the anode substrate and the cathode substrate; and the conducting grids on the anode substrate are electrically connected with the conducting grids of the adjacent cell units on the cathode substrate.
