Summary: | The invention discloses a chemical adsorbent for treating arsenic-containing wastewater and a preparation method for the chemical adsorbent, and relates to a chemical adsorbent. The chemical adsorbent comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 26 to 31 percent of La(OH)3, 4.9 to 6.9 percent of Ca(OH)2, 0.7 to 2.7 percent of Al(OH)3, 0.7 to 2.7 percent of Pr(OH)3, 4 to 6 percent of Nd(OH)3, 0.7 to 2.7 percent of Ba(OH)2 and the balance of Ce(OH)4. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: heating waste dry rare earth polishing powder by using a solution of H2SO4, performing acid treatment, and activating to obtain a Ce(IV) and La(III) mixed ionic solution; adding a solution of NaOH into the Ce(IV) and La(III) mixed ionic solution under magnetic stirring conditions to obtain a suspension; and aging the suspension, cleaning to remove residual alkali, filtering, drying, grinding, and sieving to obtain the chemical adsorbent for treating the arsenic-containing wastewater. |
