Summary:The invention relates to a passive optical access network system with protecting and bandwidth sharing functions and an implementation method of the passive optical access network. The system is characterized in that a central office (CO) is connected with a remote node (RN) via two single-mode optical fibers; and the remote node (RN) is connected to N ONUs (optical network units), and the adjacent ONUs are circularly connected via two single-mode optical fibers. The information carried by N wavelengths is sent to the remote node (RN) by the central office (CO), and corresponding wavelength signals are sent to the corresponding ONU via distributed optical fibers according to an internal structural connection relationship by the remote node (RN).
