Summary: | The invention relates to an ultrasonic testing apparatus for turbine forks and a method thereof, to solve a problem wherein a time is required because a bucket and a disk are required to be disassembled, in inspection of a turbine fork executed by magnetic particle inspection, and a problem wherein an ultrasonic wave (shape echo) reflected by unevenness of the fork is difficult to be discriminated from an ultrasonic wave (defect signal) reflected by a defect because a fork shape is complicated, in inspection tried by ultrasonic flaw detection. An ultrasonic flaw detection sensor installing jig with a scale capable of evaluating quantitatively a moving amount, while limiting a degree of moving freedom of a sensor to rotational motion and parallel motion, is fixed to a reference test piece having the same size as that of an inspection object with no defect to obtain a shape echo. The presence of the ultrasonic wave (defect signal) is evaluated by fixing the ultrasonic flaw detection sensor installing jig, by in |
