Summary:The invention relates to a method for removing CO2 from exhaust gases (9), such as exhaust gases from plants for producing raw iron or exhaust gases from syngas plants, wherein the CO2 is removed by means of chemical and/or physical absorption (14), wherein the heat for regenerating the absorption agent is at least partially obtained from an air fractionation system (23). The CO2 can thereby be separated from other gases from the exhaust gases to a greater degree than for pressure swing adsorption, and a lower-quality energy carrier can nevertheless be used therefor.
