The invention relates to the technical field of oil exploitation, in particular to a method for measuring and calculating an energy saving potential of an oil pumping well. The method aims to overcome the defect of limitation on determination of the energy saving level of a specific oil well by only using an absolute value of mechanical-exploitation system efficiency in the prior art.
