Summary:The invention provides a method for adjusting the load-bearing capacity of an external communication channel of a power grid supply region. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring the fault number, the load power factor and the overload rate of main transformers in a power grid supply region body, and adjusting the load-bearing capacity of the communication channel between the power grid supply region body and at least one external power grid supply region according to the fault number, the load power factor and the main transformer overload rate. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the power supply reliability of the supply region can be remarkably improved; and the invention has strong operability and can be widely applied to construction and planning of various power grids.
