Summary:The invention discloses a method of preparing bismuth silicate powder with molten-salt growth method, comprising the following steps: first, using absolute ethyl alcohol as ball medium, carrying out ball milling on Bi2O3 and SiO2 for 5 h with the molar ratio of 6:1-1:1.5, carrying out ball milling on NaCl and Na2CO3 for 5 h with the molar ratio of 4:5-5:4 to obtain NaCl-Na2CO3 composite salt; then, carrying out hand milling on a dried mixture of Bi2O3 and SiO2 and the NaCl-Na2CO3 composite salt for 30 min with the weight ratio of 4:1-1:4; keeping the milled mixture warm at the temperature of 630-750 DEG C for 0.5-3 h, then taking out and cooling; and finally, washing the cooled sample with deionized water and drying to obtain the Bi12SiO20 powder. The method can be used for simple and rapid preparation of Bi12SiO20 with high purity and is suitable for large scale production.
