Summary:Disclosed is a light guide for a light source device which has a core layer comprising a transparent resin and having a refractive index (n1), and cladding layers which are provided on both sides of the core layer and have a refractive index (n2) which is lower than the refractive index (n1) of the core layer. An optical reflection layer that produces scattered reflection of light is provided on the surface of one cladding layer, while the surface of the other cladding layer constitutes an optical emission face. A recess is provided from the surface of the former cladding layer and/or the surface of the latter cladding layer, passing through that cladding layer and reaching the core layer.
