The invention discloses a French terry cloth with imitated silver thread effect made by light nylon and a manufacturing method thereof. The invention adopts relatively cheap light nylon instead of expensive silver thread and comprises steps of choosing appropriate yarn, adjusting the yarn tension of the circular knitting machine with knitting craft, so as to let the fabric knitted with light nylon realize the bright streak effect as silver thread; with the characteristic of nylon, the French terry cloth is not easy to be broke and to reduce the output in the process of knitting, therefore, the knitting machine can be started fluently and the output can be raised. The end product of the French terry cloth not only can realize the bright streak effect of silver thread, but also have no uneven effect of rough silver thread; the French terry cloth is sooth, soft and comfortable, and the invention reduces the cost which is relatively cheaper than the silver thread.
