Summary:The invention relates to a polyisocyanate-based prepolymer, which is a prepolymer prepared by reacting diisocyanate and/or diisocyanate trimer with dihydric alcohol and/or trihydric alcohol. Because the prepolymer of the invention has a molecular weight close to that of the dihydric alcohol or the trihydric alcohol, the prepolymer can be foamed to become a foam material without additional crosslinking agents such as diamine, polyamine, or a composition of the above, or the prepolymer can be crosslinked directly to become an unfoaming product such as a thin film.
