Summary: | The invention relates to an instrument for monitoring potassium concentration in brine in real time and a detection method. The monitoring instrument comprises a NaI(T1) scintillator detector, a beta Geiger-Miller counter and a temperature sensor arranged within a detecting cavity. The signal transmission ends of the NaI(T1) scintillator detector, the beta Geiger-Miller counter and the temperature sensor are connected with the host machine of the instrument. The cost of the instrument is reduced by using the beta Geiger-Miller counter. The detection method comprises the steps of: placing the detecting cavity in the brine, starting the instrument, accumulating gamma ray quantity with energy of 1.46MeV received by the NaI(T1) scintillator detector, counting beta ray detected by the beta Geiger-Miller counter, transmitting detected temperature to the host machine by the temperature sensor and calculating the potassium concentration in the brine according to the following formulae when the host machine judges tha |
