Summary:Waste clay compound modified asphalt and a preparation method thereof belong to the technical field of chemical building materials. The method is characterized by carrying out melt blending on a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer and the waste clay in an internal mixer, then pelletizing the product with a single screw extruder, adding the pelletized product to molten base asphalt and shearing the mixture to obtain the modified asphalt matrix and finally mixing the modified asphalt matrix with a reactant to prepare the waste clay compound modified asphalt. The prepared waste clay compound modified asphalt has better road performance index and excellent stability and low temperature performance, realizes efficient and pollution-free recovery of the waste clay and has higher economic benefits and application and popularization values.
