Summary:The invention discloses a method for modifying gasoline. The method comprises the following steps of: cutting gasoline into light and heavy distillates; performing an alkali cleaning on the light distillate to remove mercaptan; mixing the heavy distillate and hydrogen, allowing the mixture to contact with a pre-hydrogenation catalyst to remove alkadiene; allowing the gasoline from which dealkadiene is removed to contact with a hydroisomerization catalyst to perform hydroprocessing; and allowing gasoline produced by the hydroprocessing to contact with a hydrofining catalyst to perform selective desulfuration, and mixing with light distillate from which the mercaptan is removed to obtain the gasoline product. In the method, the hydroisomerization and the selective desulfuration are performed under proper operation conditions and in the presence of catalysts respectively so as to fully bring respective advantages into play.
