Summary: | Provided is a chemically stable half-metallic antiferromagnetic material having a stable magnetic structure. The half-metallic antiferromagnetic material is a compound having a crystalline structure of nickel arsenide, zincblende, wurtzite, chalcopyrite, or halite, and is comprised of two or more types of metallic elements and chalcogens or pnictogens. The aforementioned two or more types of metallic elements include magnetic elements with an effective d electron count of fewer than 5 and magnetic elements with an effective d electron count of more than 5, and the total effective d electron count of the aforementioned two or more types of metallic elements is 10 or close to 10. |
