The invention relates to an improved method for preparing a standard suspension of SiO2 particles in hydraulic oil, belonging to the technical field of metering. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: firstly, adding T1502 chemical additives into the hydraulic oil to control the static conductivity of the hydraulic oil at (1500+/-100) pS/m; and then, preparing the standard suspension of the SiO2 particles in the hydraulic oil. The invention improves the dispersivity of the SiO2 particles in the hydraulic oil and can effectively prevent the particle size distribution of the SiO2 particles in the standard suspension from being changed because the SiO2 particles in the standard suspension are agglomerated again when ultrasonic dispersion and mechanical agitation are used for carrying out uniform treatment, thereby improving the repeatability and the stability of the size distribution data of the SiO2 particles in the standard suspension, and ensuring the accuracy of the calibration result
