Summary:The invention relates to a variable damping shock absorber which comprises a damper cylinder and a compressor, and is characterized in that the compressor is composed of an air cylinder piston and a piston rod; a air cylinder and the piston rod are respectively connected to the damper cylinder and a shock absorber rod; the top of the air cylinder is provided with an interface which is communicated with the upper part of the damper cylinder; the piston is driven by the shaking generated during the running of vehicles to move so as to aerate the damper cylinder; and a pressure regulating valve is arranged on the damper cylinder to adjust the air pressure so as to achieve the aim of adjusting the damping of the damper cylinder. The invention can be used for common automobiles after being subject to simple modification, and has low cost.
