The invention provides a method for removing nickel and vanadium from crude oil. The method comprises the following steps of: preparing a microwave reactor; fetching a certain amount of crude oil and heating the crude oil to a set reaction temperature; feeding the crude oil into the microwave reactor; starting the microwave reactor, adjusting the microwave power and keeping the crude oil in the microwave reactor for a certain time period for microwave treatment; and taking out the crude oil. The device comprises a first container, an oil pump, a heater, the microwave reactor and a crude oil transfer pipeline, wherein the first container is used for storing the crude oil; the oil pump is used for circularly transferring the crude oil; the heater is used for heating the crude oil; the microwave reactor is used for performing microwave treatment on the crude oil; and the crude oil transfer pipeline is used for sequentially connecting the first container, the oil pump, the heater and the microwave reactor so as t
