Summary: | The invention relates to the field of power system devices, in particular to a design method for the electric performance of a saturable reactor for a converter valve. The saturable reactor is mainly used for protecting a thyristor in the converter valve; theoretical and simulation models are established in the aspects such as current, voltage, power, thermal characteristic and the like from a safe work region of the thyristor according to operation condition and type test working condition to be born by the converter valve respectively; feasible ranges for electric parameters of the saturable reactor are determined by analyzing the performance under different working conditions respectively; and finally the design result of the electric parameters is provided by comprehensively considering a plurality of different feasible ranges.
