Summary:Disclosed is an optical film for suppressing near- infrared ray transmittance. The optical film comprises a near-infrared absorbing layer composed of at least one colorant and a transparent copolymer resin. The colorant has a maximum absorption wavelength in the range of 900 to 1,100 nm and the copolymer resin contains fine rubber particles. The optical film effectively blocks near-infrared rays and has high impact resistance. Further disclosed is a display filter using the optical film.
