The invention discloses a method for determining point positions of the maximum value and the minimum value of a cardiac magnetic field. The method comprises the following steps of: establishing a coordinate system on the chest or back of a person; selecting a straight line which passes through a forward region and a backward region of the cardiac magnetic field, wherein the straight line is provided with five measuring points and two straight lines perpendicular to the straight line are provided with another four auxiliary measuring points; and obtaining the maximum value and the minimum value of the cardiac magnetism by using a interpolation method so as to obtain point positions corresponding to the maximum value and the minimum value.
