The invention discloses a Chinese medicinal compound volatile oil component for treating primary dysmenorrhea and a preparation method and application thereof. The Chinese medicinal compound volatile oil is prepared from 8 to 10 parts of Chinese angelica, 8 to 10 parts of Szechuan lovage rhizome, 8 to 10 parts of prepared rehmannia rhizome, 8 to 10 parts of white paeony root, 8 to 10 parts of peach seed and 5 to 7 parts of safflower by a steam distillation method. A compatible raw material formula is selected according to the Chinese medicinal theory and the pathogenesis of the primary dysmenorrhea; and pharmacological experiments show that the Chinese medicinal compound volatile oil prepared by the steam distillation method has good effect of preventing and treating the primary dysmenorrhea, has no adverse reaction after long-term use, and is expected to be developed as a new generation medicament for treating the primary dysmenorrhea.
