Summary:The invention discloses a hexagonal sliding Chinese characters pinyin input method, which is a Chinese characters input method applied to touch screen electronic equipment such as touch screen mobile phones and the like. The method for inputting the Chinese characters pinyin on the touch screen comprises the following steps: the touch screen firstly generates a key map of a QWERTY keyboard or a T9 keyboard; after an importer clicks the first letter of a Chinese characters pinyin to be inputted, the periphery of the first letter generates keys of all the two-level option letters which can be formed into pinyin with the first letter; and after fingers move to the required two-level option, the periphery of the two-level option generates a three-level option which encloses the two-level option as above till that the input is completed and so on.
