Summary:The invention relates to programming non volatile memories. Disclosed is a non volatile memory and a programing method. In one embodiment, the method for programming the memory array includes: receiving a series of data blocks each having a plurality of programmed bits, determining the amount of the programmed bits in a first data block, determining the amount of the programmed bits in a second data block, and if the sum of the amount of the programmed bits in the first data block and the amount of the programmed bits in the second data block is not more than the maximum, writing the first and second data block into the memory array in parallel.
