Summary: | The invention provides a method for synthesizing benzoin ketone in a water phase and relates to a method for synthesizing a compound. The method comprises the following steps of: adding a N-alkyl benzimidazole bromic salt carbene catalyst and water into a reaction container; stirring the mixed solution at normal temperature; adding benzaldehyde; heating and stirring the mixed solution; and finally heating the mixed solution in air until refluxing to obtain benzoin ketone. In the method, the N-alkyl benzimidazole bromic salt carbene catalyst serving as a raw material is non-toxic, harmless to the environment and an environment-friendly catalyst; the solvent used in the method is water, and the water is a solvent which is wide in source, low in cost and harmless to the environment; the yield of the benzoin ketone is high; no oxidant is added, instead, the reaction system is stirred while being exposed in air to use the oxygen gas in the air as the oxidant; and the benzoin ketone is prepared by air oxidation of |
