The invention discloses a voltage source type filter converter which comprises a transformer, a high-pass filter, a bridge-type current commutation valve block comprising a self-shutoff power device and a direct current capacitor. The transformer adopts star-like/extended-triangle or star-like/triangle/triangle wiring; the high-pass filter is connected with an extended winding of the extended-triangle and an angle joint of the triangle winding of the transformer in parallel or is connected with a third winding of the transformer in parallel. The voltage source type filter converter has two topological structures, can make two direct current power transmission systems with the novel topological structure, and can effectively reduce the adverse effect of harmonic waves on a current commutation resistor and the transformer.
