Summary: | A preparation method of an iron powder material suitable for application in high velocity compaction technology belongs to the technical field of powder metallurgy. The preparation method comprises the steps of firstly mixing two types of water-atomized iron powder of -200 meshes plus 300 meshes (with medium grain size of 45-55Mum) and -300 meshes (with medium grain size of 25-30 Mum) according to a certain ratio on a starheart type mixing mill so as to obtain a uniform iron powder mixture, then preparing green bodies with required shapes on a high velocity impact forging press, and then conducting sintering for 1-3 hours at temperature of 1120-1250 DEG C under hydrogen protective atmosphere so as to obtain iron powder products with high density. The invention provides an iron powder material suitable for application in high velocity compaction technology, thus being capable of promoting fast development of the technology in the field of powder metallurgy. |
