Embodiment of the invention discloses a time-shifting method of TV program and a TV set, relating to image processing field. In order to reduce cost of a time-shifting system, simplify the technique, and enhance the stability, the invention provides a technical scheme of receiving a time-shifting order; storing received data flow into corresponding storing area according to the time-shifting order; receiving a playing order; according to the playing order, obtaining the data flow from the storing area; playing the data flow after being decoded; receiving a stop order; according to the stop order, stopping to store the received data flow to the storing area; playing the current received live program.
