Summary: | The invention discloses a method for synthesizing intermediate methyl pyridine of pesticide imidacloprid, relating to the technical field of compound synthesizing techniques. The method comprises the following steps: taking N, N-dimethyl acrylonitrile as raw material to synthesize 1-cyano-2(N, N-dimethyl amidocyanogen) and 3-methylcyclobutane; carrying out acidolysis to obtain 2-methyl 4 cyano-butyraldehyde; hydrolyzing cyanogen to prepare methyl pyridone in a buffer solution formed by acetate acid and ammonium acetate; chlorine-dissolving the methyl pyridone in benzene chloride to form methyl pyridone chlorobenzene solution; and if a subsequent reaction is needed, reducing pressure to evaporate benzene chloride obtain methyl pyridine.
