Summary: | The invention relates to the gas engine direct start-stop technology, in particular to a device for controlling the stop position of a gas engine piston and a method thereof. The invention is used on the condition where engines stall, but the crank is still in rotary state. The lost work of the pressure and the attachment of the motor are controlled to spur the energy consumption of the residual kinetic energy of the motor to achieve the purpose of controlling the stop position of the gas engine piston. The device consists of two automatic stop control subsystems using an alternator and an electric air damper respectively; wherein, the automatic stop control subsystem using the alternator comprises an alternator, a field current control system, a storage battery and external circuit; the automatic stop control subsystem using the electric air damper comprises an electric air damper, an electric air damper control system and a drive circuit.
