The invention discloses a black-start method, which realizes the improvement of the rapid recovery of a grid and ensures system stability and equipment safety during the black-start process. The invention is achieved by the following technical proposal: in the black-start method, first, taking a large-capacity thermal power generating unit as black-start power supply to impact a large-capacity transformer with the power supply capacity less than that of the black-start power; then gradually restoring the significant load power supply, controlling the current to impact the load transformer towards a lower voltage level progressively, and carrying out power supply to the next electricity grid by the load transformer; and then gradually restoring the power supply to the partition power grid and the district power plants, and transferring electric current to other thermal power generating units with the same voltage level so as to provide electricity necessary for the operation of the corresponding thermal power
