Summary:The invention discloses a long lasting mosquito repellent and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method is characterized by comprising the following steps: (1) weighing the following compositions by weight percentage: 5 to 40 percent of decanoate, 50 to 75 percent of ethanol, 0.1 to 4.0 percent of clove oil, 0.2 to 3.5 percent of borneol, 0.2 to 1.5 percent of essence and the balance of deionized water, putting the decanoate and the borneol into a container, adding the ethanol, stirring and dissolving the decanoate and the borneol fully; (2) adding the clover oil, the essence and the deionized water in turn and uniformly mixing the solution; and (3) regulating pH value of the solution to between 6.0 and 7.0 by 10 percent NaOH, filtering and respectively charging after the liquid is fully clarified, and obtaining the fragrant liquid mosquito repellent.
