Summary:The invention discloses a method for producing marsh gas by using pennisetum hydridum as a raw material, which comprises the following steps: crushing the raw material pennisetum hydridum first; adding the obtained raw material into an anaerobic reactor, adding an inoculum to perform inoculation, and mixing the materials, wherein the addition of the inoculum is 5 to 30 percent of the dry weight of a leavening; and adding water into the anaerobic reactor, adjusting the TS load to between 2.0 and 8.0 percent, sealing the reactor and connecting a gas storage device, and then performing fermentation to generate gas, wherein the reaction temperature is between 25 and 55 DEG C and the fermentation period is between 25 and 50 days. The method sufficiently achieves the resource recovery, quantity reduction and decontamination, and changes the pennisetum hydridum, the king of grazing which has strong growth ability and reproductive capacity, into an energy crop.
