Summary:The invention relates to a method for operating a spinning device (3) of a rotor-spinning machine which comprises a multiplicity of spinning stations (1) and has a spinning rotor (16) which is driven by individual motor and the rotor shank of which, which is configured as a rotor (11) of the drive, is mounted in a contactless manner in a magnetic bearing arrangement which is arranged in a drive housing (15) which surrounds the drive and is connected to a closable rotor housing (9) in such a way that a low pressure prevails in both housings (9, 15) in comparison with the surroundings during the spinning process, wherein, in the case of an interruption of the spinning process, pressure equalization is carried out in the drive housing (15) at least to the ambient pressure before the rotor housing (9) is opened.
