Summary:The invention provides a method for modifying thermal stability of hexabromocyclododecane, aiming to uniformly precipitate bromocarboxylic acid rare-earth salt with double functions of thermal stabilizer and fire retardant, when combined with a process of washing to remove bromine in a production process of hexabromocyclododecane, to realize uniformly mixing and wrapping the bromocarboxylic acid rare-earth salt with double functions and the hexabromocyclododecane, and realize high efficiency of thermal stability. The method simultaneously simplifies production and thermal stability processingof the hexabromocyclododecane, reduces production and processing costs of hexabromocyclododecane, and reduces discharging amount of the three wastes in the production of the hexabromocyclododecane.
