Summary:The invention relates to an optoelectronic angle sensor for determining a rotational angle about an axis, comprising a code carrier (2) provided with a flat coding (3) and a photosensitive detector. The code carrier (2) and the detector can be displaced about the axis in relation to each other. Said angle sensor also comprises a device for producing an evaluable image of at least one part of the coding on the detector such that the image contains information relating to a rotational position of the code carrier (2) in relation to the detector, in addition to an evaluation unit for determiningthe rotational angle from the image. The coding (3) is self-luminous and it also comprises at least part of the device for producing an evaluable image.
