Summary:An adjacent channel interference detecting apparatus is provided which has a small circuit scale and hence is suitable for LSI integration and further exhibits a high detection sensibility. The adjacent channel interference detecting apparatus (4) comprises two sign reversal detecting parts (13a,13b) that detect respective sign reversals of I- and Q-signals (101,102); a rotation determining part (14) that determines a rotational direction of signal points on an I-Q plane; a counter part (15) that counts outputs of the rotation determining part (14); and an adjacent channel interference detecting part (16) that detects, based on the counts of the counter part (15), a bias of the frequencies of the rotational directions of the signal points. Thus, the detection of the bias of the frequencies of right and left rotations of the signal points on the I-Q plane can detect an adjacent channel interference.
