The invention discloses a composite artificial ecological floating island and a construction method thereof. The floating island comprises a sludge ecological floating island unit or a plurality of sludge ecological floating island units and a plurality of phycomycete biomembrane vector units. The construction method comprises the following steps: sludge powder which is subjected to innocent treatment, light materials and an inorganic adhesive are taken as raw materials to prepare the sludge ecological floating island units; porous macromolecular light suspension filler is simply processed toobtain the phycomycete biomembrane vector units; the phycomycete biomembrane vector units are pretreated and fixed on the sludge ecological floating island through flexible materials; and various floating island units are flexibly connected with each other through sponge or polystyrene foam.
