The invention provides an auxiliary power device for an engine, which mainly comprises a heating water pipe set, a water return pipe, a gas transmission pipe, a steam turbine and the like, wherein the heating water pipe set is fixed in a shell and consists of a plurality of heating water pipes. The auxiliary power device is arranged on the front end of the engine, and the heating water pipes of the auxiliary power device are communicated with an exhaust chamber. The device heats water vapor in the heating water pipes by high-speed flowing combustion gas with high-temperature and high-pressure exhausted by the exhaust chamber when the engine works, so as to generate high-pressure steam to drive the steam turbine which is coaxial with the engine to output power as auxiliary power of the engine.
