The invention relates to a sweeping vehicle and a sweeping operation method thereof. The sweeping vehicle comprises a fan, a water tank, a dustbin and a water pump which are arranged on a frame, wherein butterfly-type sweeping brushes and a sucker are arranged on the frame; a suction tube communicated with the dustbin is arranged on the sucker; a semi-enclosed dust collecting screen covering the butterfly-type sweeping brushes is hung under the frame; the sucker is communicated with the semi-enclosed dust collecting screen; the fan pumps dust and garbage swept by the butterfly-type sweeping brushes in the semi-enclosed dust collecting screen so as to form dust-containing airflow which enters the dustbin through the sucker and the suction tube; the water pump pumps and sprays snow-melting agent aqueous solution or water in the water tank over the dust-containing airflow through nozzles arranged in the sucker and/or the suction tube; and the fan pumps clean airflow which is settled through gravity and filtered
